Artist's Comments
I was asked to do this as a tattoo for an acquaintance. She wanted a shot of Tink standing over a banner with her daughter's name. Left the banner for the Tattoo artist, I'm sure they have quite a few. I was eager to do this one, Tink has always been my favorite Disney babe. Somewhere along the way I decided to draw her my way. Didn't want to add yet another Disney version to the stone and felt my Tinkerbell should represent me, not Disney.
This is the last thing I am going to do in 2007 too, so it's my end year cap. I always like going back through the year looking at what I did and comparing it to the one before. Nice way to see if you're growing. EDIT:: In the end the woman I did this for wasn't too pleased with it. She wanted a regular Tink, and the way I colored this "wouldn't translate to a tattoo". Still happy I did it, just sorry it never did see skin.   |
